if an elected Member of Parliament switches party a by-election must be called.
Currently it is deemed that constants are voting for the candidate and not the party...by making this change Constituents will have the say on who represents their political views in Parliament.
During the current Brexit debate, parliamentary members have switched parties at will, some several times, based on their own interests and not those of their constituents who voted for them.
