Petition Action

Stop DVLA from sharing drivers details to parking companies without consent

Petition Details

Have you ever received Parking Notice Charge Letter from random company? At the moment all those Ltd. companies can buy your personal data from DVLA for a £2.50 on the assumption of reasonable cause, then your data is sold to "Debt Collecting" companies which will harass you for years to come.

Additional Information

I`m a law abiding citizen but still I`ve become a victim of those companies.
I`m currently ongoing a dispute which will probably end up in court.
3 years after receiving a original letter from one of the parking companies, I`ve been chased by another debt collector demanding payment for imaginary debt.
Let`s STOP those cowboys and regulate the Law, which at the moment is open to abuse. Those people always aim most vulnerable citizens especially elders, they even proceed with credit checks!!!
