For a government election to be held so the electorate can choose their MP's
Parliament is currently broken, many MPs have quit their parties, gone against their party or left/gone into office. As a population we need to now have a say on whether we are still happy for these MP's to continue to represent us.
For example Theresa May was the elected prime minister but is no longer in office. Also many MPs from both the conservatives and Labour have quit their parties and so now represent different party views to what they were elected on.
