Introduce legislation to ensure that all PIP assessments are recorded.
There is overwhelming evidence that there is an alarming level of disparity between what occurs in a PIP assessment and what ATOS/Capita assessors send to DWP decision makers. There are also evidenced concerns around claiming well-being and safety during assessments and the appeals process.
The number of complaints has risen and continues to rise with regard to accuracy of assessor reports, there are also a growing number of accusations of malpractice on the part of the assessor which could not be otherwise be evidenced without recording these assessments.
Tribunals are often successful, at great cost to the public purse and Claimants well-being.
