To make the theft of pets a seperate offense to current theft legislation

Petition Details

Current laws treat the theft of pets on the same level as if it were just a television. I think everyone is aware of how much a pet ingratiates into a family, to the extent where they are considered a family member, so the penalties for stealing a part of someone's family should reflect this

Additional Information

A seperate offense with more severe penalties should be implemented to reflect this.
