Company that make staff redundent should have bonuses capped
Government to legislate prohibiting bonus payments of greater than a percentage of salary (i.e. 5%) if a company has made people redundent in the last 12 months.
The objective being to protect long term employment over one-off payments by introducing a 'management cost' to redundencies.
Equivalent 'bonus' cash would then be available for company investmentment and growth (recovering lost jobs) or paid to shareholders via dividends
