Award of a posthumous knighthood to Sam Wanamaker
To award posthumously a knighthood to Sam Wanamaker, American actor, director and producer, in recognition of 23 years of tireless campaigning to establish Shakespeare's Globe Theatre London. A fitting tribute to honour the man who never lived to see his dream realised and become a world famous landmark and institution.
