Save Longtown MOD

Additional Information

During all the conflicts and unrest throughout the world with the threat of terrorism, the Government in their wisdom have decided to cut back on the Armed Forces and their suppliers and move all the work from Longtown, Cumbria to our sister depot in Warwickshire.
This not only affects over 300 M.O.D. employees and their families employed at the local ammunition depot at Longtown but also the local area and economy.
Please sign the petition to keep Longtown depot open, to keep work in the local area and most importantly don't cut the supply line to our frontline troops.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
