Petition Action

Sack the teacher who made a disabled child clean up after wetting herself

Additional Information

We are shocked and disgusted that a disabled child was subject to such humiliating and degrading treatement; We are further shocked by the inadequate response of the School's Board of Governors and the Local Education Authority.
(See: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4088846/Disabled-girl-forced-to-clean-up-after-weeing-herself-in-school.html)

The government should:
1. Dismiss any teacher who mistreats a disabled child;
2. Ensure they are registered as unsuitable to work with children;
3. Investigate the inadequate responses and actions of the Board of Governers and Local Education Authority in the above case.
4. Ensure that all schools provide adequate access to toilet facilities for all both in the classroom and outside of it.
5. Ensure this does not happen again in any UK school.
6. Ensure that all Boards of Governors & Local Education Authorities compliance with their duties in relation to disabled pupils / students is adequately monitored.
