HMG should practice what it preaches by insisting on lower bonuses for officials of company it has shareholding it. Cap pay in nationalised industries
Cap pay (including bonuses) of officials of HMG nationalised industries & departments to a maximum of £1m pa. The Prime Minister is the Chief Executive of UK plc. Preferably the pay (plus bonuses) of Chief Executive of nationalised industries should be at the level of the PM. However bonuses & being allocated shares can act as an incentive towards high achievement for employees. Therefore officials’ pay (including bonuses) of a nationalised industry should be capped at around £1million per annum level.
