Petition Action

Portsmouth City Council To Compulsory Purchase Fratton Park / PFC

Additional Information

This petition is for a compulsory purchase order to be made by Portsmouth City Council or other relevant body; to protect the inherent value to the local community and future development of the city that the land, stadium and football club hold.

It is well publicised that our club, Portsmouth FC is teetering on the verge of financial destruction.

What is not well publicised, however, is the shady sub-plot of recent owners/landlords/administrators allowing the club to have its vital assets such as land and stadium stripped.

If no action is taken the community and taxpayer suffer; and ultimately the city passes up an opportunity to claim a vital catalyst for the regeneration of the city (http://www.portsmouth.gov.uk/media/open_for_business.pdf)
