Introduction of 21 century Elective Monarchy

Additional Information

Today is the 21st Century, many nations have abandoned the monarchy however the UK continues to keep its in operation in the same structure used over many years.

This E-Petition proposes the introduction of an elected monarchy, a monarch elected by the population at 10 year intervals to serve the country as a figurehead on the world stage,

The monarch will be an independent candidate not bound to a political party or bloodline allowing any individual in the UK to stand to serve the population for 10 years and to keep the heratage of the British political system strong and untainted.

Vote for this petition if you want to keep the monarchy, but bring it into the 21st century, no longer decided by divine right or inheritance but by the joint decision of all those in the UK.
