Remove The NHS From Politics, Similar To The BBC
As long as the politicians continue to use the NHS as a political football things will never improve.
The NHS is too important to be treated like this.
A Budget should be set by Parliament (say, annually or 5 yearly) and then the day-to-day, year-to year control of the NHS should be the responsibility of the governing body, with all relevant safeguards and regulations.
The operation would then be monitored by the Controlling Board, Parliament and the Public and necessary "tweaking" given as needed.
This would effectively remove the NHS from the hands of politicians, but at the same time allow parliament to retain overall monetry control.
The BBC runs in a similar way and doesn't suffer from political interference.
