Open a debate on the legality of automated sales calls

Additional Information

Automated sales calls from companies offering PPI claims to accident compensation are just nuisance callers.
They do not take account Telephone Preference Service registration and do not give the receiver the option to opt out of future calls, nor supply their business' details for complaints.

This petition is aimed at opening a debate in the house of commons to pass legislation to either;

Outright ban on all automated sales cold calling and auto dialing functions (where a operator is only connected once the randomly dialed phone is answered)

Place restrictions on the numbers available to cold calling companies - including a ban on calling TPS registered individuals.

if an outright ban is not possible, force companies to supply their business details through a keypad option at the beginning of the message to allow complaints procedures if guidelines or opt out procedures are ignored.
