Create a state owned food manufacturer to supply the NHS, prisons etc.
The companies currently supplying hospitals are doing a dismal job and making a huge profit from it.
A state owned company could do a much better job and make huge savings by economies of scale. They could supply not just the NHS but prisons, schools etc.
Further to this, they could supply the private sector such as airlines with food in order to make the model more financially viable.
