Extend the protective anti-discrimation legislation to include volunteers

Additional Information

This petition urges the government to include unpaid volunteers in the legal protection already provided to paid staff by including volunteers in the protection given by anti-discrimination/anti-harassment legislation. That is a volunteer should be able to take their complaint to an independent tribunal or court of law to achieve resolution and if necessary compensation for abuse suffered in a workplace (e.g. sexism, racism, homophobia and ageism).
