Food Labeling of ALL Meat, to include method of slaughter
I and many others would like to know the story and provenance of our meat, slaughter methods vary across the world with Halal 'non-stunned' being prominent. I would like to know if the meat I buy in the shops was slaughtered in a humane way, 'stunned' prior to production.
Label meat products either halal or stunned, so that the general public can make an informed decision and have the choice.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
We understand that you want food labeling to include method of slaughter, but it is not clear whether you want this to be based on whether the meat has been religiously slaughtered, or whether the animal has been stunned before slaughter.
There is already a petition calling for all halal and kosher certified products to be prominently labelled as such: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/300205
