All e-petitions with 100,000 signatures to receive a government response
It has been observed by the undersigned that government response to e-petitions is inconsistent.
Some of the issues that appear to challenge this government the most, notably the "Drop the Health Bill" and RPI/CPI pension increase petitions, are simply ignored.
This e-petition proposes that the government should at the very least be obliged to provide a written response to all petitions within 7 days of them reaching 100,000 signatures. This response should include an indication of whether there will be a parliamentary debate, and if not the reasons why not.
There is simply no point in this process if the government is allowed to opt out of debates they find uncomfortable - it's just a waste of everyone's time.
You can't sign this petition because it is now closed. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
