Give pensioners the minimum wage
Give pensioners a better income.
the government are contradicting themselves if they give a minimum wage to workers but only give less than half of that to pensioners.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to give pensioners. The NMW is paid at an hourly rate (£8.21), whereas the new state pension is paid at a weekly rate (£168.60).
You could start a new petition asking for the state pension to be paid at the equivalent of the NMW for an average working work (currently 37 hours) if that's what you'd like to see happen.
