Petition Action

We demand the Government opens an enquiry into the Child Protection System.

Petition Details

The UK Child Protection System, beginning with Local Authority Children's Services, involving, CAFCASS, and ending in Family Court is failing our families.
It's acting virtually unregulated and under a veil of secrecy.

Additional Information

The issues we are concerned with include;
* The rise in the number of looked after children. At 31st May 2018 Govt Stats show 75,420 kids were looked after. 55,240 (73%) under a care order, up from 40,090 (58%) in 2014.
* The main reasons for care orders, including Emotional Harm or Future Risk to Significant harm, not only physical or sexual abuse.
* The UK's policy of FORCED ADOPTION.
* Whether it is appropriate that the balance of proof in the Family Court is based on upon ‘Probability’.
