Petition Action

Order public enquiry into the systematic cover up of historic Child Sexual Abuse

Petition Details

Since Channel4News reported paedophile rings spanning over 40 years, the Government have failed to reassure public and assist compensation of survivors. No legal aid has been offered and no dialogue is being forthcoming to those affected. A full public enquiry into the organisations who cover it up.

Additional Information

Order a full public and independent enquiry into the organisations which knew and did nothing to act against the perpetrators of HSE within sporting organisations. Where young people and children were abused and trafficked around the UK and Ireland, the systematic cover up continues. We urge Parliament to order a full public, independent inquiry into specifically: the Scottish Football Association and all it's member clubs in regards to the lack of justice, and silence which is ongoing in this.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action that is not already happening.

There is an ongoing public inquiry into child sexual abuse. You can find out more here:

www.iicsa.org.uk/

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
