Petition Action

Save up to 1m lives fighting Coronavirus immediately by UK wide self isolation

Petition Details

We have proven case-studies (China/Italy) re the impact of a delay in fighting the spread of this virus. The current growth rate in the UK and Italy shows containment is not working. A potential 1m UK deaths makes it sensible to immediately implement nationwide isolation, financially aided by Gov.

Additional Information

Such an innovative nation can be a Crisis Management world leader. Demonstrate commitment to beat the virus by putting the UK in lock-down for 8 weeks (except key workers), freeze mortgage, interest, rent, council tax & utility payments to reduce citizens outgoings, subsidize grocery delivery whilst limiting purchases (toilet rolls, rice etc to two items per sale, online or offline) and enable telephone ordering for pensioners. Businesses adversely impacted can be reimbursed via tax system later
