Petition Action

Mandatory sustainability/climate-based lessons in primary and secondary schools.

Petition Details

To make sustainability/climate-based classes compulsory in all UK primary and secondary school curriculums to ensure that the next generation not only is informed about sustainable decisions but also take an interest in the importance of sustainability and issues surrounding the environment.

Additional Information

Many children take no active interest in the environment and have little knowledge on how to live a sustainable lifestyle, often because they have had no exposure to the natural world or know the impact of human behaviour on the environment.
It is essential to educate future generations within the UK to ensure that government environmental targets are met and that individuals even in landlocked cities are given the chance to experience natural environments while learning about there importance.
