Ensure that UK remains a signatory to the European Convention on Human Rights.
Parliament should get a commitment from Government that following Brexit, the UK will continue to support ECHR and the Human Rights Act 1998, which is based on ECHR.
The United Kingdom's adoption of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) predates its membership of EU. The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg is separate from the EU. There is no reason for the UK to leave ECHR because of Brexit, and every reason for UK to continue to support ECHR and the principles for which it stands.
