SCRAP ALL IMPOSED & PROPOSED WELSH LANGUAGE MEASURES IN EDUCATION & PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT

We believe that the Welsh Government has no mandate in any shape or form including legal, statutory or a moral right to demand and enforce Welsh Language measure upon Welsh people without a National Mandate on this issue via a referendum.

We believe that the Bilingual education as already practiced in some parts of Wales and further measures as proposed via the White Paper titled ‘School Standards and Organisation (Wales) Bill’ to compel Local Education Authorities to adopt Welsh-medium education throughout Wales are inherently unfair and have been already proven to be damaging children academically and socially and especially those from English speaking homes.

We demand immediate abolition of all Welsh Language measures in Education and Public Employment and provisions of choices and equal opportunities to all people in Wales irrespective of language bias being it Welsh or English.
