Scrap student loan debt for nursing and AHP students
I want the government to scrap student debts for healthcare students such as nursing, midwifery and other allied health professions , who studied between 2017-2020 as they received no maintanace grants or bursaries.
Healthcare students before 2017 received bursaries and had no student fees to pay. Healthcare students will still have the fees however will receive maintanace Grants from September 2020.
This is unfair to the students that studied from 2017-2020, as they still had to complete more than 1000 hours of placement like the students before without any financial aid.
This has left many students who are meant to start their career in the NHS this year upset and angry, as they feel forgotten about.
