Should restrict online sellers not to charge more than double price. Otherwise in future, Necessities will be out of stock in emergency. Sellers can charge double price as RRP applies but not un-fair stock pile and selling 0.99p hand gel for 12.99 or 99.99

Additional Information

To overcome any future shortage of necessities availability, should discourage eBay, amazon and other selling portal not to charge more than double price for Basic need (In demand due to certain epidemic).

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The Government and Parliament are not responsible for setting prices for consumer goods. Recommended Retail Prices are set by produces, and are not legally binding.

You could start a petition calling for the Government to introduce legislation requiring retailers not to sell certain types of products for more than their Recommended Retail Price.
