Introduce the Right to Repair bill from the US to the UK.
Have you ever gone to the car manufacturer to get your car fixed, found out it cost £1000 or more to fix, hightailed it out and went to an independent repairer and had the job done for £170? That's the idea behind the right to repair - being able to go elsewhere & not rely on the manufacturer.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The right to repair already exists for cars. If you'd like this to be extended to all products you'll need to make this clear in your petition.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
