Schools must allow children to stay at home until the Coronavirus crisis ends
WHO declares Coronavirus infection a pandemic. It is spreading among school kids. Containment is the best option. Parliament must advise schools not to penalise kids who wish to stay at home; must permit kids to take authorised absence. Schools also must support these kids through online platforms.
Coronavirus infection among young children has been reported. The wall street journal dated March 10th, 2020 suggest that Children have the virus in their secretions up to 22 days, so it is wise to prevent them from spreading it to others. Schools must be proactive rather than reactive. Current understanding is that kids are the least affected but we can't simply wait for new evidence to emerge to support/contradict this.
