Petition Action

Massively Improve and Invest in Technology for Primary Public Services

Petition Details

Technology in our current public services including the NHS, Police, Ambulance and Coastguard are becoming outdated with little space for improvement. Make it easier and more efficient to report incidents to police, and innovate in creative uses of technology in the frontline services.

Additional Information

British industry continues to innovate, so doesn’t technology. Why is it that our public services don’t seem to keep up?

Having had insight working in a hospital, I can say that there doesn’t seem to be much innovation and where there is, it is typically only for a small portion of the country. We don’t seem to innovate. Why not use drones in the police force or in the coastguard? Or even go as far to introduce an Estonian style e-police system? Why not send emergency messages via text?

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd specifically like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
