Keep free bus travel for the over 60s
A report out by the think tank Social Market Foundation has recommended the scrapping of bus passes for the over 60s. It calls this essential lifeline for many pensioners a 'perk' and suggests 'there are more growth-enhancing uses for the money' that the goverment spends on this basic provision. I call for the UK Government to honor it's pledge and not cut bus passes for pensioners.
