Ban second hand smoke drift into homes.
To ban second hand smoke drift into homes from neighbours.
Secondhand smoke drift is dangerous and has same health affects as public secondhand smoke.
According to ash.gov.uk 'there is no safe level' and health risks increase from 20-30% lung disease and 35-55% heart disease.
The only measures left to do something about this is to put it in the hands of the government. If the government can ban public smoking then why should this be treated differently?
This is not about human rights, it's about protecting people in their own homes from harmful fumes that are life threatening.
Environmental health have no power to stop this as it is not classed as a 'statuory nuisance'.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand you are concerned about second hand smoke, but we're not sure exactly what rules you would like the Government to introduce.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could ask for a ban on smoking with a certain distance of any building, or a ban on smoking anywhere in shared buildings such as blocks of flats, if those are things you would like to happen.
