Petition Action

Contingency White Paper in event of Scottish independence

Additional Information

In the event of a 'Yes' vote in the referendum on Scottish independence, there will be no time to go through the legislation process before the SNP act. Otherwise they will perform a UDI which will be out of Westminster's control.
We should introduce a White Paper, covering all the short term measures which will have to be acted upon - Government department by department - In the event of a 'Yes' vote.
These eventualities could include:
* the unbundling of the Scottish Banks,
* the withdrawal of UK civil service from Scotland,
* the withdrawal of British passports from Scottish citizens.
* the removal of Scots from our armed and security forces.
and many, many more.
