Reinstate Local Elections

Petition Details

The government is allowing schools to stay open despite the Covid-19 virus, Parliament is still sitting, football is only off for a few weeks, but it is considered bad enough to suspend the democratic process, even if suspension is required, why a full year?

Additional Information

The government has chosen to keep schools open and there are those who have said they want to build a herd immunity, including The PM himself...yet for some reason it is seen as a bad enough reason to suspend the democratic process in this country and suspend local elections for a full year. This defies logic and Parliament should reinstate local elections

You could start a new petition calling for elections to take place as planned but without comparing it to things that have now been cancelled or closed.
