To allow staff working in offices within parliament to work from home
To permit staff working with the public, in offices within parliament and other external organisations to work from home to limit the spread of the Coronavirus. To stop public from entering parliament for school visits and third party hire events to prevent parliamentary staff from being infected.
We have family members who have a combination of medical conditions who are elderly and we can’t put their health and well-being at risk by being exposed to the public who could be infected. Most parliamentary staff are breadwinners for their family and are anxious if they fall unwell how will they provide for their family. It should be everyone’s responsibility to protect ourselves and others. We can’t let the public from across the globe enter parliament it’s risky and puts lives at stake.
