Continue containment, continue testing and tracing for covid-19.
The herd immunity strategy is high risk and will carry high costs. The WHO has recommended continuing to try and contain the spread of coronavirus. This cannot be done without testing all suspected cases. A policy that deviates from this should be subject to parliamentary scrutiny.
Continue testing and tracing suspected cases of covid-19 until it is proven this has failed. Risking a “small” percentage of deaths by going straight to mitigation without trying to contain is not acceptable and should be decided by parliament.
