Fund the procurement of additional medical capacity from the private sector
To ensure that the NHS can procure all health care resources from the private sector (people, facilities, and equipment) to manage on a need-only basis until the Covid-19 crisis is over.
As it stands skilled health practitioners, equipment, and facilities that could be vital for keeping the maximum numbers of citizens alive will be either idle or in use for less urgent cases, and wealth will be the discriminator between surviving this crisis or not. As Covid-19 does not discriminate based on wealth and privilege, neither should this country’s response to it.
