Petition Action

Test all those that have Coronavirus Symptoms not just those in hospitals.

Petition Details

It is vital we as the public know the severity of the situation and if we aren’t getting the true numbers people could be confused and think that it’s not as bad as it actually is. People could take unnecessary risks and the fatalities will rise more than predicted.

Additional Information

the peak chart won’t be of true value. Now that only those that are severely ill are being tested the line on the chart will falsely level out as it shows a small percentage of those that are infected. Giving people a false sense of security which could and more than likely will end fatally for a big portion of the public. People NEED to know the truth of where the virus is and how many are infected in each area. If you want people to trust the government you need to be straight with them.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The conduct of tests is a clinical decision for the NHS, not the UK Government or Parliament.

We have published a petition calling for the Governemnt to provide publicly accessible testing for coronavirus around the UK, which you might want to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/301354
