Petition Action

Exempt foreign NHS staff paying the Immigration Health Surcharge.

Petition Details

The Immigration Health Surcharge will go up from 400 pounds to over 600 pounds. This is paid by foreign born workers in the UK who also pay tax and NI. It includes doctors and nurses who are on the front line against coronavirus. It is wrong they pay twice for the healthcare you only pay for once.

Additional Information

I want the government to change its policy so these essential health workers are made exempt from this unfair surcharge given they are saving the lives of the British public but at the same time paying twice for the same health care they are providing.
