Reimburse students' tuition fees due to the cancellation of university COVID-19
Due to the cancellation of lectures and seminar groups at many universities across the United Kingdom because of the COVID-19 outbreak, students paying tuition fees should be partially reimbursed as they are not receiving they teaching and equipment they are paying for.
There are people who can’t cover the cost of rent let alone living costs due to the fact they receive the minimum maintenance loan available, despite the fact their parents aren’t in the position to help them.
There are also people who’s parents couldn’t help them if they wanted to, relying solely on the maximum maintenance loan.
Across the board we are struggling and no one seems to care. We deserve reimbursement to compensate for the fact we are not receiving what we are paying for.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Individual universities will have their own refund policies, and are responsible for making their own decisions about what changes they will make to their operations during the coronavirus outbreak.
You could start a petition calling on the Government to urge universities to refund tuition fees where teaching is not able to take place as normal, or to set up a fund to reimburse the tuition fees of students whose universities have closed as a result of the outbreak.
