Test everyone who might be infected by the coronavirus
The World Heath Organisation has called for all countries to find and test every coronavirus case. We would like the Government to make the coronavirus test available to anyone who has symptoms or has been in contact with anyone with a known case of coronavirus.
Currently the Government is not making the coronavirus test easily available, even to those who are clearly displaying symptoms consistent with the virus. Instead they are claiming it is 'no longer necessary' despite the tests being widely unavailable even when 'necessary.' This is at odds with the current advice from the World Health Organisation.
People who may be infected can not at present find out if they are, increasing the risk they will not self-isolate, and will infect others.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The conduct of tests is a clinical decision for the NHS, not the UK Government or Parliament.
We have published a petition calling for the Government to provide publicly accessible testing for coronavirus around the UK, which you might want to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/301354
