Full sick pay, instead of SSP
Make company's pay full pay when on sick leave instead of the out of date SSP. No one is able to survive on SSP, so most people who are sick will continue to work while been unfit to do so as the loss of money seriously impacts their lives.
At the moment if your unable to work due to sickness and your employer doesn't off full pay. SSP will only pay £94.25 a week. This is below the minimum wage, and as a result people who only get SSP will continue to work while unfit. SSP is no longer fit for purpose and as a result company's should be paying sick people full pay.
