Suspend evictions during the coronavirus crisis.
The government should issue a temporary suspension to all end of tenancy evictions to avoid spreading the pandemic and creating a new problem by having thousands of people looking for temporary accommodation.
We are in the midst of a worldwide coronavirus pandemic and this for many has already meant quarantine at home. We are told to practice social distancing and to stay safe.
However people are still going to find themselves at the end of a tenancy agreement, and will be forced to move house. This will involve going out and looking at different housing options, thereby coming in contact with different people for weeks on end. Then there will be a move.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since you started your petition the Government has announced plans to prevent landlords from starting proceedings to evict tenants for at least a 3 month period: www.gov.uk/government/news/complete-ban-on-evictions-and-additional-protection-for-renters
