Stop price gouging during a national crisis by having a price cap
Have a price limit on goods when there is a national crisis to stop opportunists buying and selling 1000s of items at massively inflated prices .By capping prices it will stop people making big money and also limit panic buying .
The vulnerable people in society are struggling to get essential items and are also forced to pay 10 , 20 , 100 times more for a product which could be their food money for that week . The price cap should apply to all market traders, retailers , ecommerce traders and social media

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government and Parliament are not responsible for setting prices for consumer goods.
You could start a petition calling for the Government to introduce legislation requiring retailers not to sell certain types of products for more than their Recommended Retail Price.
