Introduce measures against "panic buying" for the coronavirus pandemic.
The governement has introduced legislation to curb the further spread of the covid-19 virus. Recently, people have been panic buying esssential goods (as reported in the media) and this is distressing to many. The government has said there is no reason for anybody to stockpile.
UK supermarkets have written a joint letter to customers pleading with them not to panic buy. Despite this, it seems panic buying is still sweeping stores.
This in turn will affect many people in different ways, especially those who shop for essentials weekly, and people on low income who simply cannot afford to stockpile.
