Suspend absence procedures for those with coronavirus or having to self isolate.
Employees absences may trigger absence procedures which will cause them to receive warnings from their employers. Some employees may be at the point where another absence means they may be at risk of dismissal. Ensure employers suspend procedures in cases of coronavirus or self-isolation.
If absence procedures remain in place in the case of coronavirus or self-isolation, employees may be reluctant to stay off work and quarantine themselves for fear of losing their job.
