Refuse all bailouts for airlines
The government should refuse any monetary assistance, including the proposed loans, to airlines amidst the Covid-19 crisis.
Airlines are not a public service, they are for-profit companies that are causing catastrophic climate change. They are therefore undeserving of any assistance and should be heavily taxed instead.
Many public services are in urgent need of additional funds, such as the NHS. Ordinary citizens are set to lose huge amounts of money due to social distancing.
The government's regard for public safety is already in question. Spend that money on the people, not on destroying the environment.
