Implement an elderly-only hour of grocery shopping.

Petition Details

Implement an elderly-only hour of grocery shopping. This would be the first hour the stores are open, right after everything has been sanitized.

This would also be open to those of any age who are imuno-compromised or otherwise vulnerable to COVID-19.

Additional Information

To protect our most vulnerable against COVID-19, and ensure they can get their essentials.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The opening arrangements for supermarkets are a matter for individual retailers, not the Government or Parliament. A number of retailers have announced plans to open early for elderly or vulnerable customers. You should contact your local supermarket to find out if they have put such arrangements in place.
