Create a UK National Week of Respite
For too long the British public have endured a sustained period of stress, worry and panic.
It started with the Global Financial Crisis in 2008 which led on austerity and has included Scottish independence, Brexit, Climate Change and Coronavirus.
This is an unprecedented period of time.
The British public deserve some much needed positivity and I believe Government should lead this with a National Week of Respite possibly held during the Summer Holidays and perhaps repeated each year.
Funds should be provided for festivals, food, drink, fun and events for a week long period during which we celebrate overcoming many challenges and divisions, and get prepared for the ones in future.
Please help make this a reality by signing this petition. We've all earned it!
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly whether you want the Government to create extra bank holidays, provide funding for events, or a combination of both of these things.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
