Petition Action

Provide Financial Support if employment is closed due to coronavirus.

Petition Details

Provide Financial Support to those whose place of employment has been closed due to the coronavirus.

Currently we are being told to seek assistance from universal credit but this has a wait period, and the amounts do not/will not cover or match wages lost.

Prevent debts and financial stress.

Additional Information

Assist employers in providing full basic wages to all members of staff even those on 0 hour contracts or those with a contract stating the employer can close without notice or payment.

People rely on wages, and universal credit will not cover all lost wages nor will they assist straight away due to the wait period.

Match basic wages. Help employers. Save employees.
